A wholecut in black grey patina, cut from a single piece of leather with no seams across the upper. The colour is built up by hand in layers, so no two pairs finish identically.

Black grey sits between a black Oxford and a grey one: sharp enough for a boardroom, softer than full black for evening. Pairs cleanly with charcoal, navy and mid-grey suiting, and holds the western-formal end of a wedding week.

A wholecut is the hardest dress shoe to make well, because a single flaw in the hide ruins the entire upper. Leather sole, leather lined throughout.
